Watch Gunna's New Visual For "200 For Lunch" and "Dirty Diana"
Two standout tracks from his recent ‘WUNNA’ Deluxe Edition.
Atlanta rapper Gunna remains as active as ever regardless of the current limitations imposed by the coronavirus quarantines. After debuting his latest full-length effort WUNNA back in May and delivering a second album’s worth of new material for WUNNA (Deluxe), he returns with a new music video that combines “200 For Lunch” and “Dirty Diana.”
“200 For Lunch” served as the deluxe’s intro and was produced by Gunna’s former touring DJ, Taurus. The video transitions from a celebratory brunch counting money with friends to hanging out on-set with Young Thug. The mood for “Dirty Diana” more closely resembles Gunna’s trip to Jamaica in the Spike Jordan-directed WUNNA documentary.
In a recent interview with HYPEBEAST, Gunna opened up about creating his sound with frequent collaborators Turbo and Wheezy. “Man it’s elevated. We making music together — like they’re making beats specifically for me. The chemistry keeps growing. Even with Tauras, he’s my new producer but he was my DJ first, he picked it up from just being around and seeing the creation. He saw how we’re moving and making these songs, making these hits. Because of that, the relationships have been built to a whole ‘nother level.” He also revealed that the quarantines have made him hit the studio more than ever before, which might explain his prolific output for the extended release. “I’ve just been staying inside a lot. Staying safe. I’m actually recording more than usual because I don’t got nothing else to do. With this downtime I’ve made sure that I’m using it productively to do things that I really needed to do because I’ve been on the road for quite some time.”
