Nike ISPA Drifter Offers Sustainable Split-Toed Style
Arriving in “Iron Grey” and “Spruce Aura” colorways.

Nike‘s conceptual ISPA sub-label is gearing up to release the fifth and final silhouette from its lauded Fall 2020 footwear lineup: the ISPA Drifter. Arriving in “Iron Grey” and “Spruce Aura,” featuring a Tabi toe and a chukka-like cut and crafted of sustainable materials, the ISPA Drifter is a new-age style that pulls from many different realms of footwear but belongs to none of them.
Uppers offer a stripped-back look with a thin synthetic base, taped seams and twisting fabric overlays. Swooshes are kept to a minimum — appearing in embroidered fashion on the lateral side of the Tabi toe — and ISPA branding is printed on the aforementioned overlays. On the murky “Iron Grey,” these ISPA branded hits are done up in brilliant blue, while on the light “Spruce Aura” they take on a stark black. Cinched lacing systems provide security.
Down below, sharply-shaped midsoles are constructed of recycled ZoomX foam that peeks through rubber folds to provide bouncy cushioning and a sustainable build. On the “Iron Grey” it’s colored an earthy brown, on “Spruce Aura” it’s dark black. A final touch of contrast is served by each shoe’s heel clip, and black rubber outsoles round off the look. Both also come packaged with special Tabi socks to accommodate the unique toebox shape.
The Nike ISPA Drifter “Iron Grey” and “Spruce Aura” will release via Nike SNKRS September 1, and are priced at $200 USD each.
