Ian Isiah Brings the Funk in New "Princess Pouty" Single
Another Chromeo-produced track off of ‘AUNTIE.’
After spotlighting Brooklyn’s essential workers in his music video for “Loose Truth,” Ian Isiah returns with a funky new single titled “Princess Pouty.” The track, which oozes with fuzzy synths and a two-step groove, comes off of his upcoming Chromeo-produced AUNTIE project that is slated to drop at the end of August via Juliet Records.
The Thuan Tran-directed music video for “Princess Pouty” plays off of the art for the single. The Cody Critcheloe painting depicts the artist as a pouting clown, complete with painted red nose. Shot at Coney Island, the video captures Isiah dressed as a clown — more playful than scary — dancing and having fun on the boardwalk. Isiah channels 70’s funk, soul and disco into the new track, following the signature electro-funk of Chromeo. “Momma’s baby, Daddy’s maybe,” he sings in an ode to empowerment.
