Ciara Drops Fierce "Rooted" Visual Celebrating Black excellence and Pride
“Everything you need to survive and thrive is rooted in you.”
Ciara has shared the music video for “Rooted,” a powerful, Ester Dean-accompanied protest song celebrating Black excellence and pride during these trying times.
Directed by Annie Bercy, the visual features Ciara proudly showing off her baby bump along with clips of different dancers further highlight the passion and raw energy of the track. Visuals from the Black Lives Matter protests honoring Breonna Taylor and George Floyd are also weaved into music video, serving as a reminder to everyone that the fight for justice is not over.
She ends the visual with a short yet fierce statement that reads, “To all my young Rosa’s and young Luther’s, keep marching. Don’t stop fighting for you what you believe in. To all my Black queens and kings, continued to plant and spread seeds of love, hope and pride in your tribe. Everything you need to survive and thrive is rooted in you. Stay rooted.”
