After releasing its seasonal Track Sandal earlier this year, Balenciaga returns with another iteration of the open-toed silhouette. This time, the chunky footwear option receives a summer-ready slip-on style. Instead of the branded heel and velcro straps that defined the previous SS20 sandal, the Track Slides feature a paneled design made of rubber and neoprene, as well as “BB”-embossed fronts.
The slip-on sandals are a sleeker, more futuristic version of the Track Sandal, prepped just in time for the warm weather season. The upper boasts a tonal criss-cross compilation of leather and upper parts, while the slides’ soles are less chunky and rugged than the sandal silhouette — continuing its minimal and easy-to-wear look. A bumper at the front of the shoe keeps the toes secure and in place.
