Following the unprecedented launch success of its Chicken Sandwich last year, Popeyes is now looking to upgrade its popular menu item.

According to reports, the fast-food chain is now testing a “BBQ Bacon Cheddar Chicken Sandwich” at select locations in the Denver, Colorado area. Adding a new twist to the sandwich, the buttermilk battered and hand-breaded white meat chicken fillet served on a buttery, toasted brioche bun is accompanied by two barrel cured pickles, sweet smokey barbecue sauce, cheddar cheese and crispy bacon. The BBQ Bacon Cheddar Chicken Sandwich is priced at $5.49 USD and can be ordered in a combo for $7.49 USD.

Stay tuned for a wider release of Popeyes’ BBQ Bacon Cheddar Chicken Sandwich.
