Paper Journal and contemporary art gallery Galerie Number 8 are standing in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement with a new anti-racism fundraiser called The Time is Now. A globally diverse roster of emerging artists in photography and mixed media have donated their work for a series of posters produced specifically for the fundraiser. In addition to the poster sale, artists and publishers have donated one-off prints, photobooks and merchandise for a raffle.

Artists involved in The Time is Now include Akasha Rabut, Denisse Ariana Pérez, MAR+VIN and many others. Available in an edition of 15 or 30, the posters range from intimate portraits and close-ups of the body to artful landscapes and dreamy depictions of the natural world. 100 percent of the proceeds will be split evenly among the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, Pay The Rent, La vérité pour Adama and the Marsha P. Johnson Institute. Each raffle ticket costs €20 EUR (approx. $23 USD), and is included with every poster purchase.

To see the full list of artists and contributors, head to The Time is Now’s website. The fundraiser will run from now until August 10. Raffle winners will be announced August 14.

In other news, Library Street Collective’s new charitable platform will allow artists to donate 100 percent of the sale of their works to a non-profit organization of their choice.
