ANEI SS21 Blends Technical Craft and Traditional Silhouettes

Neatly picking up where Fall/Winter 2020 left off, ANEI‘s Spring/Summer 2021 collection is rife with louche looks informed by hard-wearing fabrications. The militaristic anoraks and parkas are softened by the brand’s street-leaning styling, which includes a selection of head-turning sneakers and some playful twists on lightweight essentials.
Slouchy base layers, including work shirts and branded faux-patchwork tees, affirm ANEI’s loungey SS21 vision, bolstered by generous blazers and cargo pants. The latter style also ties in with the season’s other major motif: technical garments.
Strappy holster bags and multi-zippered parkas complement the sweat-wicking shorts and reversible tailoring, which isn’t inherently functional per se, but does create a futuristic appearance by way of the contrasting taped seams and glossy yoke. Longline shirts and collarless blazers channel futuristic nomads, blurring the line between the technical pieces and the more casual baggy items.
