Back in 2018, Yu Haneishi presented the Spring/Summer 2019 collection for his first clothing label, ANEI. Since that debut, ANEI has delivered an impressive range of looks that update traditional Japanese silhouettes with rich textures, militaristic detailing and sportswear influences. For Fall/Winter 2020, the Japanese label has unveiled a collection of neutral-colored layering pieces for both the transitioning period and colder winter months.
Outerwear dictates ANEI’s latest range of apparel. Fleece zip-ups sport fur-lined hoods, while kimono-like coats are paired with complementary trousers. A range of iridescent puffer jackets and quilted coats give the otherwise muted color palette a hint of tonal variety. Like previous collections, over-sized silhouettes are reworked with different materials, textures and colors to give relaxed styles a sophisticated and elegant look.
The collection also features a variety of knitwear, hoodies, T-shirts and pants crafted from premium fabrics. Adjustable straps and zippers work with most layering pieces, accenting the loose and billowing styles with technical details.
