After recently announcing its partnership with Eastpak for a collaborative set of SS20 backpacks, namesake brand Raf Simons has continued to release apparel and accessories for the cold weather season. This time, Raf Simons’ Laced Up Low Derby acts as an understated footwear option for the season, while showcasing the designer’s close attention to detail.
Made in Italy, this derby is informed by a round toe and leather midsole. Printed text adorns the tongues in contrasting white font. Four words or phrases are included on each tongue, such as “Tiny Golden Books,” “To Be Close,” “Events in Dense Fog” and “Kilimanjaro (19,335.6).” Unlike its previous derby shoe with Dr. Martens, the low derby is accented with an elevated heel, an extra-long tongue and a polished black finish.
Raf Simons’ Black Laced Up Low Derbys are priced at $1,250 USD and can be purchased now on SSENSE’s website.
In other footwear-related news, CLOT and Nike have teamed up once again for a taffeta-coated Air Force 1 in “Rose Gold Silk.”
