Kobe Bryant's Nike Mamba Fury Appears in Lakers Colors
A team-focused take on the Mamba’s latest budget-friendly silhouette.

Since Kobe Bryant‘s tragic passing in January, his signature Nike Basketball line has been going through an extended stretch of fits and starts. “Lakers” and “Big Stage” colorways of the Kobe 5 Proto have appeared and quickly disappeared, with palpable uncertainty surrounding the line’s future. However, the budget-friendly Mamba Fury has provided a beacon of normalcy by releasing in a handful of colorways — the latest of which is this new Los Angeles Lakers-themed makeup.
Officially dubbed “White/Field Purple/Amarillo/Light Smoke Grey,” the crisp palette seemingly nods to the Lake Show’s alternate white uniforms. A hybrid design that seems to pull elements from the Kobe 6, Kobe 8 and Kobe AD, the Mamba Fury supplies a signature low-cut upper that’s done up in a mixture of white mesh and synthetics. Silver speckles are sprinkled across the lateral midfoot, and sit above a low-slung silver Swoosh that transitions seamlessly into the purple midsole. Meanwhile, things are mostly kept simple on the lateral side with an all-white build and single printed silver Swoosh.
Translucent TPU heel spoilers are dressed in purple, and secured with yellow stitching. Kobe’s Kill Bill-inspired sheath logo makes its presence felt with purple placements on the tongues and heels, while pops of gold grace a duo of eyelets on each side. Zoom Air is loaded into the forefoot, with two-tone purple and white outsoles that add one final sheath logo rounding off the look.
The Nike Mamba Fury “Lakers” is currently sold out on Nike France, but retailed for $100 USD.
