Take a First Look at the Air Jordan 11 "25th Anniversary"
The black, white and silver makeup is set to release this December.
2020 marks 25 years since Michael Jordan debuted the iconic Air Jordan 11 during the 1995 NBA Playoffs, so Jordan Brand is marking the momentous anniversary with a special Air Jordan 11 “25th Anniversary.” A fresh take on the Tinker Hatfield-designed masterpiece, the “25th Anniversary” combines a stark colorway with unique detailing, making for a compelling homage to one of the Air Jordan line’s most notable, influential silhouettes.
Uppers are built from black ballistic mesh and overlaid with a signature patent leather mudguard that’s also done up in black. This sits atop a white Zoom Air-filled midsole and a milky, pearl-colored outsole. Details, however, are where these AJ11s truly shine. Eyelets feature a silver “JORDAN” spellout graphic, an early design feature that never made it to the final production version of the AJ11 — though it was featured on an early sample of 2006’s “DMP” iteration.
Shiny silver Jumpman logos appear on the collar, and are built of metal for an extra pop of luxurious flair. More silver detailing is present via the heel’s “23” hit. Finishing touches are provided by the dual-branded insoles, which place a “25” graphic below a Jumpman.
The Air Jordan 11 “25th Anniversary” is tentatively scheduled to serve as Jordan Brand’s traditional holiday AJ11 release, with a reported launch date of December 12. It’ll be available on Nike SNKRS and at select retail partners like Foot Locker, with a MSRP of $220 USD.
