Following its “Marblehead” release earlier this year, New Balance returns to its classic 997S sneaker for a fresh, summer-ready “Gunmetal/Natural Indigo” makeover.

An evolution of the 997, this slimmer silhouette is a sportier build that offers a mix of suede, mesh and synthetics on the upper, with a yellow and black ‘N’ logo on the side. Toe boxes and mudguards are draped in the “Gunmetal” colorway, while the midfoot base and tongue comes in the “Natural Indigo” hue.

Under foot is a red plastic “Motion Control Device,” while a “Natural Indigo” mesh covers the heel with an “Gunmetal” strip running down the throat. Pink Abzorb foam is met with a baby pink ENCAP midsole, while a blue EVA foam front piece on the midsole and a black rubber outsole completes the look.

The New Balance 997S “Gunmetal/Natural Indigo” is available now from the New Balance web store, retailing at $99.99 USD.

In other news, New Balance has introduced two new yellow-based colorways of its 992 sneaker.
