Yo Gotti Releases First Independent Single "Recession Proof"
Celebrating his longevity in music.
Yo Gotti has shared his first single as an independent artist, “Recession Proof.”
Produced by Tay Keith and released via his now fully-independent music label CMG, the track marks a new chapter in the Memphis rapper’s career. He celebrates his longevity in the music industry, his growth as a businessman and rise as a music exec, boasting his label’s lineup that includes the likes of 42 Dugg, Blac Youngsta and Lil Migo, and his management work with Moneybagg Yo and Blocboy JB.
Earlier this 2020, Gotti dropped his fourth and final album under Epic Records entitled Untrapped. The 15-track project debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and features collaborations with the likes of Lil Baby on “Put A Date On It,” Megan Thee Stallion and Lil Uzi Vert on “Pose” and Rick Ross on “Dopechella.”
