Lemaire‘s effortlessly cool streak continues with its latest Spring Summer 2021 reveal. Regarded as one of the industry’s go-to brands for sophisticated, pared-down pieces, the newest line is a stark reflection of designers Sarah-Linh Tran and Christophe Lemaire’s unrelenting eye for versatility.
Exaggerated drapes signal comfort and easy movement for day to evening dressing. The brand’s signature trousers continue to be oversized in cut while some tops and outerwear are given belts for the option of moving garments closer to the body. Tailoring is sleek with emphasis on the shoulders and a boxier cut to exaggerate soft structures — while traditional suit cuts tend to lean on a tighter fit for a strong profile, Lemaire’s more louche style still adds that “power” suit look but in a more understated sensibility.
Clear standouts are the soft trench coats, the double breasted blazers in brighter hues, cinch waist trousers, jumpsuits and the printed sets.
