J. Cole Drops New EP 'Lewis Street'
Featuring two tracks from his upcoming album ‘The Fall Off.’

J. Cole has dropped off a new EP entitled Lewis Street.
Clocking in at a total of eight minutes, the EP’s title refers to Cole’s previous address in his area of Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he and his family lived before moving to Forest Hills Drive. Lewis Street features a pair of new singles set to appear on his upcoming album The Fall Off.
“The Climb Back” hears the Dreamville head’s self-produced effort. Cole is evidently focused on his work, maintaining a verse flow that doesn’t miss a beat and shifting gears to a more melodic state in the chorus. Meanwhile, “Lion King on Ice” welcomes production credit from JetsonMade and the rapper’s frequent collaborator T-Minus, and features trap-dependent elements with a heavy bass echoing in the back.
According to a previous announcement from Cole, he still has no release date in mind for The Fall Off. Taking to Twitter, the rapper said he was “taking my time” and “still finishing” the album, not really giving fans an idea of how deep he really is into the album. The Fall Off will mark his first solo full-length since 2018’s KOD and first project since Dreamville’s Revenge of the Dreamers III in 2019.
