Incase and BIONIC Launch New Collection Made From Ocean Plastic
Each accessory is fashioned from recycled water bottles.

Accessories brand Incase has come together with BIONIC, a mission-driven material company, to launch a new collection of sustainable bags. The unisex capsule addresses the growing problem of ocean plastic pollution in marine and costal environments by creating a series of bags made from recycled water bottles. It combines BIONIC’s expertise in creating innovative threads with Incase’s minimalist, tech-centric styles for a utilitarian offering.
The BIONIC x Incase collection is inclusive of a backpack, laptop sleeve and accessory organizer, all made from a durable ripstop material. The fabric helps to address the 91% of plastic that’s not recycled every year — much of which ends up in the ocean. The material was developed by BIONIC, a sustainable raw materials company, whose mission lies not just in material innovation, but clean water advocacy as well. With this ethos as its driving factor, the imprint recovers and processes plastic waste from oceans and beaches, then creates a durable thread from the recycled waste which is used in making eco-friendly products. That means that each piece in the BIONIC x Incase series repurposes between 7 and 26 plastic water bottles to create everyday accessories that take on Incase’s signature functionality and style.
