Reasonably priced and endlessly popular, Nike Sportswear‘s Blazer Mid Vintage ‘77 is an ideal summer sneaker that’s now surfaced with a new tie-dyed pattern. Officially dubbed “University Red/Blue Void/White,” this spiraling, carefree summertime style may be a ‘77 in name but wouldn’t look terribly out of place during ’67’s Summer of Love.
Constructed of a classic white canvas, uppers are swathed in a spiraling, splotchy navy blue tie dye print that runs from heel to toe and climbs all the way to the top of the collar. Due to the nature of the material, this mixture gives off a slight bleached denim vibe that’s contrasted with crisp red midfoot Swooshes. A dark blue piece on the heel adds a Nike spellout graphic, exposed foam tongues put forth a red-and-blue NSW hit — and are the only part of the upper free of tie dye — and a timeless combo of white laces plus white rubber midsoles rounds off the look.
The Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 Vintage “Tie-Dye” is available in select sizes at the Nike webstore. The MSRP is set at a palatable $110 USD.
