Twisted Automotive Electrifies the Land Rover Defender 90
Limited to 30 units.

Twisted Automotive has taken Land Rover’s iconic North American spec Defender 90 and given it an all-electric makeover, turning the robust off-roader into a stylish EV.
Named the NAS-E, the England-based custom workshop has launched a three-color “California” series adopting the soft-top Defender 90 as its basis. Equipping it with a new direct drive power system, the EV can now push out 214 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Of course, it’ll be an all-wheel-drive, and thanks to the 60kWh batteries, can cover a range of over 200 miles. Aside from power, Twisted Automotive also gave the car a series of external upgrades including Twisted Performance Brakes, Twisted Progressive Suspension, Twisted Sport Rims, a NAS Roll Cage and Bimini Hood, as well as front air-conditioning and an infotainment system.
On top of the regular model, a second, NAS-E Plus configuration will also be available, pushing the car’s output up to 320 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque. It comes with extra design elements as well, including a NAS brush bar, NAS side steps, NASE-E body stripe decals, roll-bar spotlights, and black side sills.
Limited to only 30 made, the Twisted Automotive NAS-E and NAS-E Plus will start at $185,000 USD. Head over to the company’s website to learn more.
Elsewhere in the automotive world, Ford has built a fully-electric Mustang MACH-E equipped with 1,400 horsepower.
