On Monday, April 16, J. Cole ignited speculation of a new album after he cleared his Instagram account and changed his social media profile picture to a purple background. Cole then took to Twitter later that day to announce a surprise event for fans. The event, free of charge, took place at NYC’s Gramercy Theatre and turned out to be a listening session for his forthcoming album, K.O.D.. Cole held another listening session in London the next day and shared the album cover and tracklist on Wednesday.

Today, the album has finally arrived. The 12-track LP contains features from mysterious artist KiLL Edward. The project is a follow-up to his 2016 fourth studio album 4 Your Eyez Only. The title was speculated to mean Kidz on Drugz, King Overdose or Kill Our Demonz which has now been explain in a trailer released earlier today.
