Disney's Goofy Graces the adidas UltraBOOST DNA
The beloved cartoon canine is the centerpiece of the shoe’s all-over print.
After Mickey Mouse‘s beloved canine companion Goofy recently appeared on a four-shoe adidas Originals collection, Disney and the Trefoil are throwing him another bone with a new UltraBOOST DNA. Centered around an embroidered all-over print, the shoes see Goofy partaking in a wide variety of athletic activities, ranging from skateboarding to baseball and more.
These all-over graphics are done up in black, and sit atop a mostly white base. The shoe’s upper is built from a traditional mesh instead of the UltraBOOST‘s standard Primeknit construction, a material choice that was necessary to allot for the embroidered details. Mudguards are made of a smooth synthetic material, while midfoot cages and heel clips use white leather.
Colorful details arrive on the heel clip, thanks to a debossed UltraBOOST spellout motif that brings together the five hues of the Olympic rings. This quintet is replicated in subtle fashion on the tongue, where each sits in paint chip-esque fashion above a co-branded adidas/Disney hit. White BOOST midsoles with a red Torsion shank and black Continental rubber outsoles round off the look.
The Disney x adidas UltraBOOST DNA “Goofy” is available via the atmos webstore now, and is priced at ¥20,000 JPY (approximately $186 USD).
