mindseeker Explores New Shapes in Pre-Fall 2020 Lookbook
The Japanese brand dabbles with dramatic silhouettes.
After mindseeker continued to step outside its comfort zone with progressive garments, the Japanese brand has taken a firm step in pushing the boundaries of its design ethos with its Pre-Fall 2020 collection. Encompassing a host of oversized comfort-first essentials and graphic goods inspired by the uniforms worn by blue collar workers, these clothes are some of mindseeker’s most sophisticated pieces to date.
Fully-lined coats with massive lapels feature mindseeker branding on the rear to mirror the baggy hoodies and slouchy workshirts that inform the collection’s relaxed motif, with a mostly neutral color palette of beige, black and white that ensure versatile styling. If any item lacks a mindseeker logo, it likely features faux-distressed “PRAY TO GOD” verbiage on the rear, or at least a small tag that appears at the chest of check-patterned shirts and drawstring-fastened slacks. Aside from a collared shirt, every item in the new collection is cut to fit huge — even the T-shirts, worn as base layers — with dropped shoulders and extended hems that underscore laid-back workwear attitude.
Expect the Pre-Fall 2020 offering to drop July 17 on mindseeker’s website.
Most recently, the brand partnered with GOD SELECTION XXX for a set of bespoke graphic tees.
