Official trailer for the second season of The Boys has landed. Based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book, the series centers around a team of vigilantes who fight against villains who abuse their superpowers — the first season premiered on Amazon Prime Video last year and has been met with critical acclaim.

Picking up from the events of Season 1’s finale, the new episodes begin with Billy Butcher, Hughie and the rest of the crew on the run. The trailer measures at a little under the two-minute mark, showing brief cuts of characters performing various superpowers and other gruesome bloody scenes as well as the introduction of a new hero, Stormfront. Much of the violence, however, is also met with humor, which is consistent with the narrative style of the previous season.

The Boys Season 2 will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video on September 4.
