Hublot and Garage Italia Celebrate Inclusivity With Millennial Pink Big Bang Chronograph
The classic timepiece is reimagined in soft pastel.

Lapo Elkann, Fiat heir and founder of experimental culture/fashion/automotive hub Garage Italia, has joined forces with luxury watchmaker Hublot for a thoughtful remix of a classic timepiece. Elkann has opted to give the Hublot Big Bang a soft makeover, opting to paint the Swiss-made watch in Millennial Pink.
With a lightweight aluminum 42mm case anodised, satin-finished and through-tinted in Millennial Pink, this Big Bang Chronograph is anything but understated. The tone was achieved only through a difficult process of experimentation undertaken by Hublot engineers and is matched with two included interchangable straps: a rubber option finished with a titanium clasp and a velcro/PES knit blend counterpart.
Furthermore, the timepiece also features Hublot’s signature Unico chronograph manufacture movement and a column wheel for easy adjustment, with its face fully exposing the complex inner workings to contrast the gentle tone against the intricate construction.
“This Big Bang Millennial Pink that we have created with Lapo Elkann from Garage Italia sits perfectly within [our] pioneering vision,” Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, said in a statement. “Our expertise in materials technology has enabled us to create a unique colour for this watch, Millennial Pink, symbolic of the world available to us, in its constant state of flux.”
“At Garage Italia, we want to be part of a world where the character of every person is defined by their love of life and their inclusivity, rather than by their power or their superiority,” Lapo Elkann continued. “More than simply a product, we want to create something which represents a positive change.”
The Big Bang Chronograph in Millennial Pink is available in an exclusive edition of 200 on Hublot’s website for 20,900 USD apiece.
Hublot recently imagined another collaborative edition of its Big Bang, creating a special all-black version exclusively for Yohji Yamamoto.
