PARTYNEXTDOOR Returns in Animated "Savage Anthem" Music Video
The emotional final track on his third album gets a comic book treatment.
PARTYNEXTDOOR returns with a new video for his PARTYMOBILE hit “Savage Anthem,” tapping director PIX3LFACE to helm the animation sequences.
PARTY premiered the song as the final installment on his first record in three years, and it stood out for its honesty and self-indulgent dive into the depths of savagery. He proclaims that he won’t change for any love interest, a stark contrast to the album opener “Nothing Less.” The video finds the singer-songwriter and producer at the strip club and webcam chatting, and the emotional aftermaths of each stop. The Toronto artist has been resourceful with his artistic visual output even before the limitations of the current coronavirus quarantines, tapping claymation artist William Child for his “Loyal” music video.
“When I’m able to execute, say like, “The News,” getting that song off, I felt so relieved. These songs are my therapy, especially with this album. [Recording] is very emotional, very deep. You have to imagine that in the middle of the verse that it’s very vulnerable,” PARTY told HYPEBEAST in a recent interview.
