John Legend Delivers New Album 'Bigger Love'
Featuring Jhené Aiko, Rapsody, Gary Clark Jr., Koffee, and more.
John Legend is spreading Bigger Love with the release of his latest album. The project, which follows four years after 2016’s Darkness and Light, features 16 new tracks from the soul-filled crooner.
“This project has been a labor of love for me, something I’ve spent over a year conceiving and creating,” Legend wrote about the album on Instagram. “I poured my heart and soul into these songs and collaborated with some incredibly gifted co-writers, producers and musicians.” He also relayed that each of the songs was inspired by various loves of his life. “My wife, my family, and the rich tradition of black music has made me the artist I am.”
Legend further noted that the full-length was created before the coronavirus pandemic, and most recently, the series of police killings that have sparked widespread protests across the nation.”This project has been a labor of love for me, something I’ve spent over a year conceiving and creating,” Legend wrote in his Instagram caption revealing the album cover and tracklist. ”I poured my heart and soul into these songs and collaborated with some incredibly gifted co-writers, producers and musicians.”
Both John Legend and Alicia Keys will go head-to-head on Friday evening for a special Juneteenth edition of Timbaland and Swizz Beatz’ VERZUZ Instagram Live battle series.
