The Hundreds Honors Stanley Kubrick With Three Film-Inspired Collections
Paying homage to ‘The Shining,’ ‘Full Metal Jacket,’ and more.
The allure of Stanley Kubrick‘s fantastical film empire has pulled in yet another brand this season, as The Hundreds is celebrating the director all month long with several special capsules. Through the launch of three distinctive collections centered around some of the director’s classic movies — The Shining, Full Metal Jacket and A Clockwork Orange — the label seeks to pay homage to Kubrick’s “career-defining cinematic masterpieces.”
A separate capsule will be released each week, beginning with The Shining to kick things off on May 21. To reference the popular horror flick, The Hundreds has crafted T-shirts, button-ups and sweatpants featuring creepy graphics and blood-red colorways, while the phrase “A Masterpiece of Modern Horror” is stamped as another reminder throughout.
The Full Metal Jacket collection — which launches on May 28 — pulls in strong military references as a nod to the film’s war theme, with camouflage patterns and earthy colorways taking the spotlight on the garments. Meanwhile, the A Clockwork Orange assortment (slated to drop June 4) is decked with the movie’s signature tangerine-hued title, which is prominent on hoodies, workwear jackets and more. A series of graphic skate decks will round it all out on June 11.
