Nike Air Tailwind 79 Receives Toasty "Light Orewood Brown" Treatment
Supple textiles for the vintage silhouette.
Nike has unveiled a brand new iteration of its Air Tailwind 79. Following its denim-clad makeover from back in February, the American footwear giant has given the retro silhouette a toasty “Light Orewood Brown” overhaul.
Starting at the top of the shoe is a small tongue tag that comes with a vintage blue mini-Swoosh logo, placed over a bed of soft beige fabrics. Most of the shoe’s body sports an intricate cotton weave, separated by a khaki-toned color-block at the midsection and a lighter ecru palette along the forefoot. Furthermore, a full-grain leather Swoosh is placed at the sidewalls, while suede appears along the heel and toecap. All of these details rest over a crisp white midsole, accompanied by a thinly treaded outsole to enliven the sneaker’s sleek look.
The Nike Air Tailwind 79 “Light Orewood Brown” is currently available at BAIT, Nike US and Nike Asia for $100 USD.
