Momotaro Joins Oris for a Denim-Clad Special Edition Divers Sixty-Five
Bringing together the worlds of luxury watchmaking and high-end denim.
In a rare partnership, Japanese premium denim maker Momotaro has joined Swiss luxury watchmaker Oris for a textile-focused special edition perfect for fans of both spheres.
Taking the highly-versatile Divers Sixty-Five as its canvas, the new special edition measures in at a wrist-friendly 40mm, its case constructed in stainless steel finished with a high polish on the sides and brushed on the top of the lugs. Unlike its usual build, however, the two brands have instead opted for a bronze bezel with a black bezel insert, bringing warmer tones to the timepiece along with bronze applied indices and hands. The dial itself is painted in a gradient green, moving from a pale pastel tone in the center to a gray-green outer edge. Most significantly, departing from its usual steel bracelets or leather straps, Momotaro has now crafted a premium denim strap for the diver, featuring the label’s signature tanned stitching and bright white “battle stripes,” making this release a true collectible for fans of the Japanese brand.
For those interested, the Momotaro x Oris Divers Sixty-Five Special Edition is now available over on the watchmaker’s website, going for $2,200 USD. Head over to order yours now.
Elsewhere in watches, Zenith has just released a limited edition Chronomaster Revival “Shadow.”
