Focusing on Durant’s hometown that’s spawned some 25 NBA players in the last two decades.
Kevin Durant and Showtime have dropped off the official trailer of their documentary, BASKETBALL COUNTY: In The Water.
Co-executive produced by the NBA star himself alongside Victor Olapido and Quinn Cook, the documentary focuses on Durant’s hometown of Prince George’s County, Maryland, which has spawned the highest amount of professional basketball players in the last 20 years including the likes of Olapido, Cook, Jeff Green, Michael Beasley, Markelle Fultz, and Marissa Coleman.
“This is a project that is near and dear to my heart,” Durant said in a statement to the Washington Post. “Having grown up in Prince George’s County and with my family residing there today, it’s my life’s mission to not only give back through my foundation but continue to tell the amazing stories of those that have come from there. I’m really excited to be partnering with SHOWTIME and for fans to hear from some of the world’s best players about what PG County means to them.”
