Jhené Aiko Shares Artistic Visual for "Lotus (intro)"
The opener of her latest album, ‘Chilombo.’
Jhené Aiko dropped off an accompanying music video for her Chilombo cut, “Lotus (intro).” Animated by Nick Peterson, the artistic visual is a moving watercolor painting that depicts a woman on a lotus atop a volcano, fearlessly watching along as it explodes. As the smoke continues to surround her, a colorful dragon-looking creature appears, symbolizing the strength the woman has found as she treads on.
Chilombo dropped in early March and included guest appearances from Future, Miguel, Ab-Soul, Big Sean, H.E.R., Nas, John Legend, Ty Dolla $ign and her father Dr. Chill. The album, which followed up 2017’s Trip, opened at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and is her highest-charting project so far.
