New Balance 327 Rolls out in Three Colorways

’70s NB style, re-conceptualized through a modern lens.

After debuting via a well-received Casablanca collaboration, New Balance‘s 327 is now set to roll out in a trifecta of in-line colorways. A modern-day interpretation of ’70s NB products, the 327 brings together pieces of vastly divergent heritage silhouettes to create an entirely new style.

This trifecta of makeups range from wild to mild: there’s a vibrant half blue/half orange style, a traditional gray/white makeup and a women’s-sized mixture of gray, black and pink, all built of trim nylon and suede pieces. Each features a super-sized N logo drawn from the New Balance 320 on the midfoot, a slim EVA foam midsole and a studded outsole inspired by the New Balance 355 — a classic trail runner.

Thanks to these split colorblocking schemes, sharply shaped suede overlays and visceral branded embellishments, all three pairs make for appealing lifestyle options for any die-hard New Balance fans. Each will release on the New Balance webstore come May 9 — both men’s styles are priced at $110 USD, with the lone women’s iteration sliding under the century mark at $90 USD.

Elsewhere, take a look back at the adidas UltraBOOST‘s first five years on the market and see how it saved the Three Stripes’ lifestyle products.
