Maison Margiela Preps Pre-Fall 2020 Handbags, Statement Footwear
Heavy-soled loafers, graphic sneakers, branded rings and lavish totes.

Maison Margiela‘s Spring/Summer 2020 collection offered a new angle on the French house’s deconstructionist ethos, with plenty of comparatively accessible accessories available for those seeking more toned-down items. The rollout continues ahead of the Fall/Winter 2020 launch, with a selection of Pre-Fall 2020 items that toy with house codes and reinvent familiar shapes.
More air bubble and graffiti-laden sneakers are on hand, with the Maison’s preferred German Army Trainer also receiving a striking metallic bead makeover. Other leather shoes include classic tabi boots and asymmetric deck shoes, with some items situated atop Margiela’s jagged Cross sole unit.
Similarly, bags range from approachable grain leather handbags and drawstring pouches to Glam Slam shoulder bags — accompanied by a similarly padded scarf — and pouch-equipped belts. Jewelry is more understated, with Maison Margiela-embossed gold rings of diferent weights joined by a silver signet ring debossed with a single large “M.”

Margiela isn’t the only luxury label prepping its pre-collection goods: Louis Vuitton recently introduced its mid-season menswear lookbook.
