ZOZOTOWN x Reebok Instapump Fury Launches Into Outer Space
With an astral-style star print upper and rocket-inspired details

Japanese e-retailer ZOZOTOWN and Reebok have teamed up for an outer space-themed Instapump Fury that’s resplendent in astral prints and rocket motifs. Although athletic sneakers and outer space stylings have always gone hand in hand, this Instapump Fury may hold special meaning behind its inspiration: billionaire ZOZOTOWN founder Yusaku Maezawa made waves in 2019 by announcing that he’d be traveling to the moon on a rocket provided by Elon Musk‘s SpaceX.
Potential meaning aside, this Instapump Fury condenses the look of a starry night sky into an appealing package. The stripped-back upper is constructed of black mesh and synthetics, the latter of which are covered in a bright star print that also works in some rich purple tones. Signature detail arrives on the left shoe’s Pump fit system’s button by way of a Reebok logo-equipped rocket ship and a waxing crescent moon graphic, both presented in silver.
The remainder of the shoe is left somewhat simple, with the signature split midsole and carbon fiber midfoot shank all dressed in black. DMX cushioning is loaded into the heel for comfort, orange insoles with special branding provide hidden flair and black outsoles round things off. Originally designed by the legendary Steven Smith — who’s now working on the adidas YEEZY line — in 1994, the Instapump Fury still looks futuristic 26 years later, a true testament to its advanced style.
This special ZOZOTOWN Instapump Fury is available for pre-order now via the ZOZOTOWN webstore for a tax-included price of ¥19,800 JPY (approximately $184 USD). Delivery is expected to commence in mid-May.
Elsewhere, adidas has given its chunky Torsion TRDC a vivid red floral makeover that’s perfect for spring.
