G Herbo Touches on 'Gangbangin' in America for New Music Video
Telling the story of countless others in Chicago.
G Herbo has released a music video for his new single “Gangbangin,” a track off the Chicago rapper’s recently released album PTSD. The footage above follows along with the album’s themes of street life in America by having the American flag showcased in a red room throughout the visuals, similar to PTSD‘s bloody album cover.
Directed by Laka Films, the video sees G rapping in a roped-off location with yellow tape, hooks, chains, and bullet holes surrounding the walls. The video also cuts to old archive footage of the rapper back when he called himself Lil Herb, as well as the story of a man being profiled by a federal agent in the streets of Chicago. The aforementioned clips harkens back to the album’s themes, which sees Herbo reflecting on his tumultuous upbringing in Chicago’s poverty-stricken boroughs, seeing kids as developing a form of PTSD through growing up in such atmospheres.
