Short for “Improvise, Scavenge, Protect, Adapt,” the Nike ISPA line proffers technical-yet-practical footwear — a key piece of which is the Air Max 720 ISPA, a shoe that’s appeared in a new “Metallic Silver” colorway. With a bold, layered look that uses cut-out disks and rubber rivets, the Air Max 720 ISPA is a definite attention-grabber. It even caught the eye of one Kanye West, who was spotted trying a pair on in December 2019.

This “Metallic Silver” makeup uses silver tones geological and matte alike, with a bright silver appearing on the upper while a flatter shade covers the TPU midsole cage. Black trim, rubber rivets and overlays add contrast to the upper, which is also dotted with small swooshes and mesh-lined circular cut-outs somewhat reminiscent of Virgil Abloh‘s recent Off-White™ x Air Jordan 5.

Blaze orange is introduced to the mix on tongues and heels, but is made most recognizable by way of a three-prong riveted rubber piece that hangs off the shoe’s rear. Down below, a clear Air Max 720 cushioning unit and natural-colored outsole with a nubbed traction pattern finalize the stylings.

The Nike Air Max 720 ISPA “Metallic Silver” is priced at $210 USD, and is set to release at retailers like Overkill on March 13.

For more masterful metallic lifestyle kicks from the Swoosh, be sure to check out the Air VaporMax 360 in “Metallic Gold.”
