David Brown Crafts a James Bond Lotus Esprit-Inspired Mini
Already purchased by Simon Cowell.

British custom manufacturer David Brown Automotive has created a one-off Mini Remastered inspired by the Lotus Esprit Turbo featured in the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only, and it’s purchased by none other than English television personality Simon Cowell.
Sharing the same color scheme as the original Lotus, the vintage Mini has been dressed in a burnt orange shade with copper racing stripes running along its laterals, while its roof and wheel arches have been doused in a contrasting black, all of which have been hand-painted. The 13-inch alloy wheels have also been doused in a bright gold, impeccably complementing the rest of the car. Moving into its interior, David Brown Automotive has completely refurbished its upholstery with an elegant white leather, with walnut inserts on the dashboard paired with a seven-inch touchscreen atop the center console. Even better sound-proofing and a thicker carpet on the floor has been installed, making the Remastered even more desirable. As to it’s specs, housed under the hood is a 1,330 upgraded version of the car’s naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine, pushing out a decent 83 horsepower, marking a 20 horsepower bump from its standard counterpart.
For those curious about owning a custom Mini themselves, unfortunately David Brown Automotive hasn’t made the sale price public for this particular Mini Remastered, but the workshop’s usual prices start at roughly $100,000 USD, so expect this custom James Bond-inspired piece to set you back even more.
