Li-Ning Sun Chaser Rises in "Orange" and "Navy"
Two new takes on the Chinese footwear giant’s high-end running sneaker

Li-Ning‘s lifestyle sneaker lineup has added the Sun Chaser in “Orange” and “Navy” to its ever-expanding ranks. With DNA rooted in ’90s running styles alongside a healthy dose of high-end flair, the Sun Chaser is an on-the-go silhouette that artfully toes the line between multiple factions of footwear.
“Orange” goes full-on vibrant with an upper split between burgundy and powder blue that’s accented by white and black trim. The bright citrus hue that provides its moniker appears on both midsole and tongue, while red details around the midsole and heel add another color into the mix. Meanwhile “Navy” opts for a more understated look, presenting a mostly tonal style that’s only broken up by pops of orange on the throat and midsole.
Besides color schemes, there’s plenty of interesting accents, materials and embellishments to be had here as well. The design’s signature pieces are a duo of bulbous pods that wrap around the heel, calling to mind images of Samuel Ross‘s popular A-COLD-WALL* x Nike Zoom Vomero 5s. There’s also bold rubberized badges on the tongues, complete with Chinese characters that also grace the insoles. Laces equip a repeating text motif, and Li-Ning graphics appear on the midfoot. Finally, the shoe’s base layer is constructed of mesh and water-repellant nylon.
The Li-Ning Sun Chaser “Orange” and “Navy” are both available now at global stockists like LN-CC and are priced at $329 USD.
