New Balance 991 Made in UK Offers Rich Grey and Blue Hues
Reminiscent of stormy seas and cloudy skies.
With dignified, flowing design lines, New Balance‘s 991 presents a stately look — one that has the makings of a powerful squall on this new made-in-the UK iteration. Awash in dark, rich grey and blue hues reminiscent of stormy seas and cloudy skies, this 991 combines elegance and force in equal measures.
Supple suede overlays sit above a steel grey mesh base and offer a quartet of different hues. Soft grey is present on the forefoot and around the collar, a slightly darker grey graces the top half of the midfoot and eyestays, ocean blue makes an appearance on the midfoot’s lower half and a rich navy wraps around the heel.
Branding is provided by a hi-vis reflective grey N logo on the midfoot, navy embroidered New Balance 991 touches on the white leather tongue patch and a final white embroidered 991 hit on the heel. A UK flag badge can be seen on the inner tongue, nodding to the shoe’s country of production. Midsoles utilize ABZORB cushioning and split between white/grey. A grey rubber outsole with a recognizable N traction pattern completes the look.
These New Balance 991s will release in the coming weeks at retailers like 43einhalb, and are priced at €190 EUR (approximately $205 USD).
