Sperry Cloud Releases New Corduroy-Coated Chukka
Colorful corduroy uppers, hand-sewn construction and Vibram soles.
Sperry Cloud is a Sperry sub-label that proffers premium footwear, and its latest release is a colorful chukka boot. Coated in copiously-colored corduroy, the design is bright, boisterous and crafted by hand for a style that stands out in build and boldness alike.
Sperry’s signature hand-sewn moccasin toe and leather-welted midfoot accents/rawhide laces are present, but the multi-colored corduroy upper offers a look that’s more of the streets than it is the docks. No color is repeated on the upper’s panels, which use everything from earthy olive greens to light pastel pinks and rich reds, making for an artfully composed patchwork look. The innards are also lined with butter-soft full grain brown leather to increase fit and comfort.
Double-stacked brown midsole pieces are secured with thick white thread, and an EVA heel cup increases shock absorption. White lug outsoles are constructed of an ultra-durable Vibram rubber to finalize the premium stylings.
