New Balance's Upcoming 1300JP Spotlighted in '80s-Themed Editorial
Celebrating the silhouette’s original 1985 release.

With New Balance‘s limited-edition 1300JP set to arrive for the first time in five years this month, Liverpool-based SEVENSTORE have spotlighted the sought-after silhouette in a new editorial. The shoot takes influence from the late 1980s, celebrating the shoe’s 1985 release date with references to American Psycho character Patrick Bateman and Wall Street‘s Gordon Gekko.
The sneaker itself comes constructed from textured mesh and suede overlays, with its tonal grey colorway offset with white leather heel trim and tongue tab. This upper sits atop a white EVA midsole for comfort and a durable outsole in Vibram rubber, with all the materials staying true to the original release 35 years ago.
Take a look at the ’80s-themed editorial in the gallery above. The New Balance 1300JP will release on February 22 from the New Balance web store and select retailers including SEVENSTORE.
