Grimes Discloses Her 'Cyberpunk 2077' Character's Backstory

Miss Anthropocene musician Grimes took a moment to reveal details about her character in Cyberpunk 2077, touching on her backstory via a now-private livestream. Possible spoilers ahead.
According to Reddit user Ros96, Grimes announced that she will be playing Lizzy Wizzy, a pop star who committed suicide on stage. Doctors quickly came to her aid and performed emergency surgery, replacing her physical body with cybernetics as she was pronounced dead for an hour and continued on to finish the show as a cyborg. The artist also noted that while she hasn’t played the game yet and has only seen an hour of gameplay, it’s “One of the greatest pieces of performance art ever made.”
Grimes will appear alongside Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077, with the game scheduled to release on September 17.
