In honor of National Bubble Gum Day, Big League Chew and New Balance have teamed up for a colorful capsule of cleats, cross-trainers and sandals. With bright palettes inspired by BLC’s most famous flavors, the collection is a light-hearted homage to America’s pastime.
Accompanied by a lookbook featuring NB athletes Francisco Lindor of the Cleveland Indians and pro softball player Sierra Romero, the offerings consist of tasty takes on the 4040v5 baseball cleat, Fuse v2 fastpitch cleat, FuelCell Echo trainer, slides and graphic tees. Each silhouette is centered around one of Big League Chew’s four flavors: Outta Here Original, Ground Ball Grape, Swingin’ Sour Apple and Big Rally Blue Raspberry. Special details extend to the packaging of the cleats and trainers as well, which come in a stay-fresh Big League Chew pouch.
“Bubble gum and baseball have always been the perfect pair, and now with New Balance, that includes the perfect pair of shoes,” said Rob Nelson, Big League Chew inventor and former minor league baseball player. “New Balance has done an incredible job of bringing our iconic Big League Chew characters to life. I look forward to seeing fans and ballplayers of all ages enjoy the gift of bubble gum fun.”
The Big League Chew x New Balance Baseball collection will release February 28 via the New Balance webstore and select stockists.
