New Balance Japan has signed a landmark Diamond Partner agreement with NPB Enterprises Co., Ltd., officially becoming the supplier for Samurai Japan. The partnership equips all of the baseball national team representatives across every age bracket—from the U-12 youth squads to the top national team—with uniforms, performance apparel, footwear, and equipment.
Marking the next evolution in New Balance’s global baseball expansion, the brand collaborated directly with Samurai Japan to engineer redesigned home and visitor kits from scratch. The home game uniform introduces a new central stripe featuring safflower red layered over traditional Japanese indigo (kachi-iro), symbolizing the spirit of Bushido. For visitor games, the kit adopts a calm, dignified “wabi-sabi” gray palette that mirrors New Balance’s signature brand colorway.
The collection also introduces a newly developed “SJ” monogram logo displayed across the baseball caps, designed to connect traditional sports heritage with everyday lifestyle wear. Outside of elite competition, New Balance and Samurai Japan will actively collaborate on grassroots outreach programs aimed at expanding youth participation and growing baseball culture across Japan.
The new Samurai Japan uniforms and baseball caps launch on October 20, 2026, via the official New Balance online store and select retail locations.
