6:AM Expands Its Bottega Veneta Glass Project With “Batch”
Originally developed for the luxury house’s Summer 2026 show, the modular cube now evolves into a standalone collection.
Summary
6:AM launches "Batch," a modular glass collection originally debuted with Bottega Veneta.
The 43cm cubes feature undulating textures created via CNC-engraved cast-iron molds.
Available in ten colors, the pieces build luminous architectural surfaces.
6:AM continues its exploration of glass as an architectural material with “Batch,” a modular collection that pushes Murano craftsmanship beyond the scale of the standalone object. First publicly presented during Milan Design Week 2026 and originally developed in collaboration with Bottega Veneta for its Summer 2026 show, the project revolves around a single 43cm x 43cm x 43 cm blown-glass cube. Produced using a cast-iron mold engraved through CNC technology, each module is shaped through a subtractive process that 6:AM likens to the rough-hewing of marble, gradually revealing the form rather than building it up. Even its name draws directly from glassmaking: “batch” refers to the mixture of raw ingredients loaded into a furnace before melting, turning the collection’s production method into both its technical foundation and conceptual starting point.
Where earlier presentations introduced the cube as the project’s fundamental building block, “Batch” expands that language through repetition, allowing a single glass object to become an architectural surface. For its latest presentation, 126 modules are assembled on a pared-back steel framework to create a tall, translucent plane. The softly rippled surfaces retain traces of the blowing process, bending and scattering light into shifting reflections and distortions as viewers move around the installation. Colored cubes interrupt the otherwise transparent grid, introducing moments of saturation that ripple visually across the structure. The result sits somewhere between sculpture, partition and architectural intervention: an orderly modular system whose handmade irregularities prevent it from ever feeling entirely uniform.
The collection also develops the modular idea through an expanded palette of 10 color variations: Cristallo, Terra, Rubino, Bianco, Verde Chiaro, Verde Antico, Ambra Scuro, Nero, Acciaio and Rosso. Together, the finishes underline 6:AM’s ongoing approach of pairing traditional Murano glassmaking with contemporary industrial processes, while giving the cube enough flexibility to operate as an individual object or as part of a larger spatial composition. In that sense, “Batch” extends the thinking established through its earlier Bottega Veneta iteration, shifting attention from a singular sculptural gesture toward a repeatable system capable of interacting with architecture, light and space. The 6:AM “Batch” collection is available now through the brand’s website.
