Sasquatchfabrix. has just delivered its Spring/Summer 2021 lookbook. Following its Fall/Winter 2020 collection, the Japanse label has ushered in an expansive lineup of light layers that offer a modern take on traditional Japanese garments.
The collection spans pieces like wide-cropped denim, silk button-ups, baggy dungarees, pleated trousers, nylon anoraks, field jackets and noragis have all been tailored slightly with a distinctive east-meets-west aesthetic — noragis with shirt buttons and trench coats with samurai-inspired shoulders, for example. One of the lineup’s statement pieces is a navy button-up that’s been meticulously decorated with extra fabric made in the shape of flowers. The piece comes with tiny black snap-on buttons and loose sleeves detailed with pinstripes. Garments like bright pink cotton shorts, the ’50s-style green-red cardigan and yellow noragi offer some vibrance to the collection’s understated color scheme, while other pieces featuring intricate embroidery, raw denim and silk complete the range with fine textures.
