DAIRIKU Travels to the Quaint Backcountry for SS21
A tasteful blend of grunge and Americana.
DAIRIKU has brought its Spring/Summer 2021 lookbook to a quaint backcountry, highlighting a lineup of slouchy, laidback cuts, custom denim, distressed knitwear, military-inspired silhouettes and a variety of sweats.
Much of the collection features palettes commonly seen in grunge and Americana-style clothing, like black, gray, light-blue, creamy off-white, khaki and indigo, to mention a few. Clean-cut garments such as black double-breasted blazers, mohair cardigans and short-sleeve button-ups are styled together with pieces that have been made to look a little more worn-in, like patchwork denim, distressed hoodies, lightly faded graphic T-shirts and loose-fitting field jackets. One noteworthy garment is a denim chore coat detailed with scribbled handwriting, loose threads and embroidery. It sports one button pocket at the upper right chest, a raglan construction and silver-toned buttons — its matching pants come with similar jottings alongside two patches. Other pieces like floral button-ups, pleated slacks, sweater vests, light trench coats and knitted sweaters round off the expansive range.
