Mario Lopez Stars As Colonel Sanders in KFC's 'A Recipe for Seduction' Lifetime Mini Movie
“Your secret is out, chicken man!”
There’s no stopping KFC when it comes to its marketing genius and sponsored promotions. Proving this is its latest soap opera-style cinematic commercial aka “Mini-Movie” featuring Saved By the Bell star Mario Lopez as Colonel Sanders.
Yes, you have read that correctly, Mario Lopez is playing the Kentucky Fried Chicken founder himself. Titled A Recipe for Seduction, the teaser shows Lopez as a seductive chef that is caught in a love triangle as a jealous husband races to gain access to his secret recipe that could “change the world.”
As with most dramas, the situation escalates and we are left with a few shots of a knife-wielding husband and what is assumed to be a tied up Colonel Sanders. The summary of the mini-movie is stated as: “As the holidays draw near, a young heiress contends with the affections of a suitor handpicked by her mother. When the handsome chef, Harland Sanders, arrives with his secret fried chicken recipe and a dream, he sets in motion a series of events that unravels the mother’s devious plans. Will our plucky heiress escape to her wintry happily ever after with Harland at her side, or will she cave to the demands of family and duty?”
