Matthew M. Williams Announces Release Date For Nike MMW Zoom 4 Collab
Following months of teasing.
Following months of leaked looks and teasing, we now have official release info for Matthew M. Williams‘ Nike MMW Zoom 4 collaboration. Taking to Instagram, the co-founder of 1017 ALYX 9SM and Creative Director of Givenchy women’s and men’s revealed the December 21 drop date for the shoes.
First revealed at Nike’s Future Sport Forum event earlier this year, the collaboration is just the latest in the long line of collaborations from the sportswear giant which included drops with AMBUSH, UNDERCOVER, sacai and Off-White™. The MMW Zoom 4 serves as a new expression of sport originally designed to help mark the now postponed Tokyo Olympics.
Coming in a “Bone White,” colorway the mesh upper of the shoe is accented by heat welded taping, silver-tone detail and black contrast elements. Aside from an obscured Swoosh at the midfoot, additional branding comes in the form of mini Swoosh marked heel counters, William’s name emblazoned on the lace keepers and “MMW” marking appear above the toebox, heel and printed insoles. Providing the model with futuristic flair, elevating the shoe are Nike Shox-inspired Pebax plates and Zoom Air unit hybrid EVA foam midsoles and elongated aggressively treaded rubber outsoles.
Priced at $450 USD, Matthew M. Williams’ Nike MMW Zoom 4 collaboration is set to release December 21 via Nike SNKRS and on 1017 ALYX 9SM’s website.
