adidas Terrex's Colorful and Sustainable Free Hiker PRIMEBLUE Is Ready for Winter Weather
The water-resistant, grippy sneakerboot is built partially from recycled ocean plastics.

adidas‘ outdoor-centric Terrex line aims to merge potent performance with lavish looks, and the latest result of that dual-pronged ethos is the Terrex Free Hiker Primeblue. Mixing a sustainable Primeblue textile construction made partially of recycled Parley plastic with a vibrant color scheme, the Terrex Free Hiker is set to stand out in substance and style on even the most cold and snowy winter days.
High-cut uppers offer a sock-like collar and seamless knit construction for a warm and snug fit. The base is mostly adidas’ familiar “Hi-Res Yellow,” but the zones that are bolstered for extra support feature black embellishments — namely translucent heel and forefoot overlays plus netted detailing on the quarter. Sturdy rubberized toe caps and heel clips supply further support, with extra style arriving via a band that reaches around the throat, pink heel tabs and green collar reinforcements with Terrex and Primeblue hits alike. Black laces with flecked yellow hits, black eyestays and collar trim and white Three Stripe midfoot graphics round off the top half.
Down below, the style is finalized by way of a full-foot white BOOST midsole, equipped with a firm gray PU foam shank that provides extra structure. A teal Torsion system, visible from the bottom, sits under the wearer’s arch and black Continental rubber outsoles supply a toothed traction pattern for shoe-finishing all-surface grip.
The adidas Terrex Free Hiker Primeblue will release via the adidas webstore on December 22. The MSRP is set at $200 USD.
